Robotic Radical Prostatectomy
A minimally invasive approach to treating localized prostate cancer, prioritizing cancer control while facilitating same-day discharge and rapid recovery.
Book Consultation →Complete removal of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles for prostate cancer using the da Vinci robotic system. The robotic platform provides magnified 3D visualization and wristed instrumentation, allowing for precise dissection through small incisions.
Surgical Priorities
Every robotic radical prostatectomy is planned around three core objectives, addressed in order of importance.
1. Cancer Control
Complete removal of the malignancy with clear surgical margins. This is always the primary goal — ensuring all cancer is removed.
2. Urinary Control
Meticulous anatomical dissection to preserve the structures responsible for continence, facilitating the fastest possible return to urinary control.
3. Sexual Function
Nerve sparing when oncologically safe. The extent of nerve preservation is determined by tumor location and grade, always prioritizing cancer control first.
